  • Save Our 420 Market
    10:00-20:00
    2018-02-07

    Hosted by World Cannabis

Wednesday, February 7 at 10 AM PST

453 West 12th, Vancouver, British Columbia

The licensed producers (LPs) want a monopoly on selling cannabis in Canada. The Liberal government is eager to cooperate, by setting harsh punishments for anybody who grows or uses cannabis outside this regime. To ensure this does not become a reality, a free, fair, and open market has arisen organically here in the Vancouver area.
There is no better model for access to cannabis than the Farmers Market. Come to the source and talk to the farmers and extractors directly – KNOW how it was grown and processed. By coming together as a grassroots community at a cannabis farmers market, we can help keep the market free and competitive.
We’ve had over a three years of monthly farmers markets now, and the movement keeps growing!
Come experience voluntary association and transaction, peaceful civil disobedience, culture, and community at the Cannabis Farmer’s Market, Vancouver Art Gallery grounds
Free to vend & free to attend!

  • Cannabis Open Carry Walk XXIV (Greenville)
    16:20-18:30
    2018-02-12

Hosted by Cannabis Open Carry Walks

This is a walk to educate the public about the lack of cannabis freedom we have here in Texas and how to get active to change that.

We want recreational use and medical use come 2019, no questions ask.We want to open carry cannabis. We want to stop locking people in cages because of a plant. Especially when it exhibits marvelous Economic, Social, and Medical benefits!

On walks, we pass out information to get people active in the fight to free the weed come 2019. We have literature, and signs to show our love and support for this amazing plant.

Our goal is to be so consistent and everywhere, so much that there is no ignoring this movement. We are going to have walks 2-3 times a week, all over the state, in many cities.

Anyone can be a part of this by simply organizing a walk in your area.

We are not affiliated with any political group or any organization. We are free individuals, people that come from all walks of life. We are fed up with the lack of cannabis freedom and we are here to do something about it.

    Educate, love, lead by example.
    #FreeTheWeed2019

    *******************************************************
To be very clear, our marches will be peaceful, lawful, fun and family friendly. At no time will we be advertising or telling people to use cannabis on our marches. This movement has NOTHING to do with guns.

These marches will not be a place to come use, buy or sell. The marches are to unite a strong front of people, network to build on that and achieve more cannabis freedom come 2019

  • Roxbury, MA | Cannabis Control Commission Public Hearing
    18:00-20:30
    2018-02-13

Hosted by Massachusetts Recreational Consumer Council

    Today at 6 PM – 8:30 PM
2300 Washington St, Bolling Municipal Building, 2nd Floor, Roxbury, MA 02119

The Cannabis Control Commission will be traveling around the state of Massachusetts on their LAST public listening tour before they finalize regulations for the Adult-Use cannabis industry. Topics of interest include licensing; operational requirements for cultivation, product manufacturing, retail sales and social consumption; delivery; compliance; enforcement; and administrative appeals.

Public feedback is necessary in order to include some key provisions to the regulations, such as:

    * Include 1-Day and 3-Day cannabis event licenses: This would allow for small businesses who cannot afford a brick-and-mortar location to participate in social consumption events by renting a location. Many of these events arealready taking place such as infused dinners, bonfires, pot-&-paint nights, and festivals.

    * Include Non-brick-and-mortar delivery licenses: This would allow for small businesses who cannot afford a brick-and-mortar location to participate in retail sales. Many of these services already exist, this would provide a low-barrier to entry opportunity for people to transition into the legal market.

    * Allow BYOC (Bring Your Own Cannabis for events): Adults are allowed to gift homegrown marijuana, they should be able to consume their homegrown products at events.

    * Allow smoking in designated public consumption areas: Cigar bars and some social clubs allow indoor smoking, the same standard should be held for public marijuana smoking in designated areas.

    * Include net-worth as an indicator in the Equity Eligibility Program: Prioritized applicants should include those who don’t have access to large amounts of capital, so that non-wealthy residents are not left out of the legal industry.

    ************

Speakers are requested to provide a copy of their oral testimony. The Commission encourages all interested parties to submit testimony electronically to the following address: CannabisCommission@State.MA.US.

Please submit electronic testimony as an attached Word document or as text within the body of an email and type “Draft Regulations” in the subject line. All submissions must include the sender’s full name and address.

Be as specific as possible. The CCC is looking community members to share their personal testimonials, provide studies, analytical data, and concise recommendations to finalize this program. “The mission of the Cannabis Control Commission is to honor the will of the voters of Massachusetts by safely, equitably and effectively implementing and administering the laws enabling access to medical and adult use marijuana in the Commonwealth.”

To call or leave a voicemail for the CCC, dial 617-701-8400.

We are taking a softer tone this time around and are focusing on pointing out that surrounding counties such as Fulton and Dekalb are considering marijuana depenalization ordinances. It is time for Gwinnett to follow suit.
Citizen from Students for Senible Drug Policy will be speaking in support of civil citations.
    Anyone can speak.
If you decide to speak please dress professionally and please make it a point for Gwinnett to follow along with the trend that is being set by Fulton and Dekalb county. If you are interested in helping out or speaking you can post on the event page or email us at ung@chapters.ssdp.org
Please invite your friends. The meeting begins at 7pm, we will most likely get to speak at around 9pm after all the usual business is over with.

    • Lower Domain Road, Hobart, Tasmania 7000

On Friday February the 23rd we will come together to show our support for Cannabis. We will be holding a March into the city via Liverpool St and up to the office of the Premiere where we will be outlining our concerns about the controlled access scheme and how it’s virtually impossible to navigate successfully. We will be coming together as a community to show that we are sick and tired of the political games being played with people’s lives. It’s time to stand up for this plant and be heard.
WE WANT CANNABIS AS A MEDICINE AND WE WANT IT NOW! People shouldn’t have to be dying to get access. People should be able to choose. Tobacco is legal and so is alcohol. Why can’t they do the same for Cannabis?
We want this to be a peaceful event with no foul language guys, remember you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar 😉

There will be an after event where there will be food, drinks and entertainment from local artists. This will be a BYO adults only event. There will be a BBQ avail and there will be soft drinks for sale. There will be games and a really great time to be had so don’t forget to keep that date clear were gonna have some Canna fun!      MARIJUASANA IN OAKLAND

This cannabis yoga pop-up has been featured in NowThisWeed, The Cannabist Show, Culture Magazine and the Boston Globe. Now Marijuasana is coming to Oakland in January 2018!

It is Marijuasana’s mission to bring a holistic and contemplative approach to cannabis, one that creates mindful, fun, inclusive, and secular experiences that foster community, eduction, advocacy and wellness with respect to cannabis and hemp.

All attendees must be over 21. Included at this event are complimentary tea made by Hemp Kettle Tea Company, and samples of hemp extract by Bluebird Botanicals. Classes taught by Stacey Mulvey of Denver, CO. Guests are encouraged to bring their own cannabis and consume it at this private event in a home in Oakland, CA.

The yoga class is formatted so that participants can socialize and build community with each other, while doing an accessible yoga style. Stacey Mulvey is a gifted movement teacher who emphasizes a somatic approach to yoga, meaning we focus on the quality of your bodily experience, rather than the shape your body is making. You’ll receive education on the benefits of cannabinoids throughout the class, and get to meet a diverse group of like-minded people. You will feel accepted and encouraged to consider cannabis as integral to your healthy lifestyle.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

If you are unable to attend, you may get your money back up a week prior to the event, or transfer your ticket to another person but you may not get a refund. By making a purchase you are assuming the risk that some life event may prevent you from attending. Should you find you are unable to attend for any reason, do not expect to get your money back. (As an example: when you buy concert tickets and aren’t able to go, you don’t expect the box office to give you a refund).

Cannabis + Genetics Presented by Phylos Bioscience

Why does one variety of Blue Dream make you feel super relaxed, while another is absolutely energizing? What’s the deal with every other strain being named OG Kush? And where the heck did Acapulco Gold go?

Phylos will join us to shed light on the diversity of cannabis and why strain names have become so tangled. In 2014, Phylos launched the Cannabis Evolution Project in partnership with Rob Desalle, a curator and phylogeneticist at the American Museum of Natural History. Over two years, thousands of ancient and modern cannabis samples were collected from around the world, and today serve as the foundation for the Phylos Galaxy — a public tool designed to bring visibility, transparency, and consistency to the cannabis industry.

Dr. Alisha Holloway, VP of Data Science and designer of the Phylos Galaxy, will discuss why open data matters and Phylos’ ongoing work to map the cannabis genome. Carolyn White will join us to offer some tips and tricks to navigate the galaxy, as well as discussing why Phylos Certified cannabis matters to consumers and the industry as a whole.

If you’ve ever tried a flower you loved only to never see it again, come and see how the Phylos Galaxy can help you learn about its genetic heritage and discover similar varieties.

    About Phylos

Phylos is a Portland, Oregon-based genomic science company serving cannabis growers around the world. Our catalogue of DNA testing services and breeding programs are designed to protect and document plant diversity while enabling growers and breeders of all sizes to thrive.
