Fort Myers Green Carpet Business Networking

    12:00-16:00
    2018-02-18

    Hosted by Green Carpet Events

    Sunday at 12 PM – 4 PM

1406 Hendry St,, Fort Myers, Florida 33901

Why is everyone talking about the marijuana industry?

How can I start growing? Can I open a dispensary? How do I get a job working in Marijuana?

You can learn a lot online, but Google searches will only get you so far.
You can watch videos, take courses, read books and even go to a “Cannabis University”, but like every other business, WHO you know is just as important as WHAT you know.
You have to get out there and meet the people that will make your cannabis career a reality.
That’s what this event is all about. Meeting people.

    Here’s what you can expect:

60-90 minutes of cannabis education from local experts & business owners
Safe & friendly environment for marijuana business discussion
    Drinks & Appetizers
    Answers to all your questions
Connections to people that can help you get started or get to the next level
Right now it might just be an idea. A glimpse of something you want for your future. But it can become a reality sooner than you think.

Green Carpet Events are produced by the Florida Cannabis Coalition, the largest and most well-connected business organization specifically for cannabis in the state of Florida. (The events are FREE to members).

Since 2014, the Coalition has helped countless people, just like you, find their path in Florida’s cannabis industry. Whether starting their own businesses, including testing labs, CBD product companies, accessory distributors and more, or finding that awesome position at one of the state’s existing and up and coming marijuana companies.

Today, the opportunities are wide open for those with the ambition to pursue them. The marijuana companies of tomorrow are starting today.

2018 is going to be a major landmark year for marijuana in Florida, nationally and globally.

Don’t look back 2, 3, 5 years from now and think what could have been.

    19:00-22:00
    2018-02-20

    Hosted by Severin Mangold

     Tuesday, February 20 at 7 PM – 10 PM
    Next Week59–73°Rain Showers
75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046

Come out and attend the Gwinnett County Commission meeting and help work towards local change! You do not have to live in the county to attend. The more people the better.
The main goal is speak about the harms of marijuana prohibiton and push for a civil citation for possession of marijuana up to an ounce. We are taking a softer tone this time around and are focusing on pointing out that surrounding counties such as Fulton and Dekalb are considering marijuana depenalization ordinances. It is time for Gwinnett to follow suit.
Citizen from Students for Senible Drug Policy will be speaking in support of civil citations.
    Anyone can speak.
If you decide to speak please dress professionally and please make it a point for Gwinnett to follow along with the trend that is being set by Fulton and Dekalb county. If you are interested in helping out or speaking you can post on the event page or email us at ung@chapters.ssdp.org
Please invite your friends. The meeting begins at 7pm, we will most likely get to speak at around 9pm after all the usual business is over with.

    Come Out For Cannabis

    11:30-16:30
    2018-02-23

    Hosted by Dannielle Luttrell

    • Friday, February 23 at 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
    • Lower Domain Road, Hobart, Tasmania 7000

On Friday February the 23rd we will come together to show our support for Cannabis. We will be holding a March into the city via Liverpool St and up to the office of the Premiere where we will be outlining our concerns about the controlled access scheme and how it’s virtually impossible to navigate successfully. We will be coming together as a community to show that we are sick and tired of the political games being played with people’s lives. It’s time to stand up for this plant and be heard.
WE WANT CANNABIS AS A MEDICINE AND WE WANT IT NOW! People shouldn’t have to be dying to get access. People should be able to choose. Tobacco is legal and so is alcohol. Why can’t they do the same for Cannabis?
We want this to be a peaceful event with no foul language guys, remember you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar 😉

There will be an after event where there will be food, drinks and entertainment from local artists. This will be a BYO adults only event. There will be a BBQ avail and there will be soft drinks for sale. There will be games and a really great time to be had so don’t forget to keep that date clear were gonna have some Canna fun! We look forward to seeing you there 🙂

     MARIJUASANA IN OAKLAND

This cannabis yoga pop-up has been featured in NowThisWeed, The Cannabist Show, Culture Magazine and the Boston Globe. Now Marijuasana is coming to Oakland in January 2018!

It is Marijuasana’s mission to bring a holistic and contemplative approach to cannabis, one that creates mindful, fun, inclusive, and secular experiences that foster community, eduction, advocacy and wellness with respect to cannabis and hemp.

All attendees must be over 21. Included at this event are complimentary tea made by Hemp Kettle Tea Company, and samples of hemp extract by Bluebird Botanicals. Classes taught by Stacey Mulvey of Denver, CO. Guests are encouraged to bring their own cannabis and consume it at this private event in a home in Oakland, CA.

The yoga class is formatted so that participants can socialize and build community with each other, while doing an accessible yoga style. Stacey Mulvey is a gifted movement teacher who emphasizes a somatic approach to yoga, meaning we focus on the quality of your bodily experience, rather than the shape your body is making. You’ll receive education on the benefits of cannabinoids throughout the class, and get to meet a diverse group of like-minded people. You will feel accepted and encouraged to consider cannabis as integral to your healthy lifestyle.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

You must be at least 21 and show proof with ID at the door. (No ID, no entry. Please do not show up without your valid ID, you will be turned away and no refund will be offered)! This is a private event for subscribers of the Marijuasana newsletter.

Something came up, can I get my money back?
    No.
Please note this before signing up.

No refunds are offered unless the event is cancelled by the organizer. If you are unable to attend, you may get your money back up a week prior to the event, or transfer your ticket to another person but you may not get a refund. By making a purchase you are assuming the risk that some life event may prevent you from attending. Should you find you are unable to attend for any reason, do not expect to get your money back. (As an example: when you buy concert tickets and aren’t able to go, you don’t expect the box office to give you a refund).

What can I bring into the event?

BYO “C” and please also BYO yoga mat. Also recommended are a water bottle, and comfortable clothing.

How can I contact the organizer?

    Please email stacey@marijuasana.com.
