Jobs, Entrepreneurship, Tourism, and the Challenges Ahead:
A Mass CBA Economic Forum
With Massachusetts’ new era of legalization only weeks away, its full economic impact has gone largely unexplored and unappreciated. Thousands of new jobs will be created. Soon, tourists will flock in from all over the world. Meanwhile, hundreds of new businesses are in the process of formation, and they are creating the need for a wide range of services, from construction and security to trucking and accounting.
Is Massachusetts ready for the onslaught of economic activity, and is the scope of the new industry fully understood?
An important new trade group — the Massachusetts Cannabis Business Association (MassCBA) — has been formed to provide focus on education, best practices and broader appreciation for the emerging industry. Join the State House News Forum — the events division of the State House News Service — and co-host MassCBA to hear industry leaders who will explore the widespread business potential of the Massachusetts cannabis economy.
Opening remarks: Shawn Collins, Executive Director, Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission
